Evaluation

This Modula o thought was very interesting as it allowed us to do what ever we wont, I decided to do a short horror film, but I don’t think I will do this again, I would do this again with somebody or in a group I think there was too much work to do just for one person, I didn’t have time to write a script so I left it blank but what I did do was put a sound track be hind the video, I got a lot of positive feed back from my video with the music as a lot of people and myself though it fitted well the them and the horror aspect it gave that extra aerie atmosphere to it, also I was trying to make blood come out of the victims head I eventual figured it out in after effects by using mr. mercury and manipulating the attributes, another part that I really enjoyed was the making of the wounds it did take along time because I had to let it dry and then apply another layer of blood or liquid latex over all I think it took about half hour to do every body I firstly experimented one my self and then I went out to buy some fake blood and latex, after doing the make up part, I did the filming at 1st I got all the footage I wanted and, one I put it together I thought I would not have enough but in the end it turns out I had to much and in the end after editing the speed, lighting, blood effect and so one I cut it down, because some of the seacns were to repetitive and it didn’t have what I call “WTF” factor but I sorted that out “WTF” is what I call when the viewer see a short flash or clip of some thing they are like “WTF was that”
Also I didn’t have time to put in the flash back noise for the fats clips with the “bad tv” effect on it there are a few mistakes in my fil like one point u can see my foot, and the watch on the reapers wrist, I think of of the best thing in the film was the hood it took a weekend to make but I came out pretty much exactly how I wanted it to be, I made it myself with a little help from a family member.
I think were was a lot of work to do just for one person from making the costumes to editing it I think I didn’t do too bad considering there was a lot to do, I think next time I do this I will plan thing out better and and thing about thing a bit more thorough for example there was no relay story behind this film it didn’t make much sense realy but I kind of wanted that to add to the “WTF” factor but one part made no sense what so ever the wall victim out side, I was almost as if he just appeared out of know were, so…….. what I did was film another shot of him crawling out of the door out side to` were was leaning again the wall , I did do if from a few different angle just to make it a bit longer and more interesting , I also put a “bad tv” effect on this as well because I want the viewer is watching some in the past as if it already bin or are watching it on a c.c.t.v camera. This was put in after I had cut it down, also went I was cutting it down I added a bit of intercuting and mixing the clips up as the reaper came into the house n flashed the dead body there would reaper, bodies reaper, bodies and so on, this gave the viewer more to taking and think about as what is going to happened next. or what has happened
The sound for my film was initially was going to be no music just a few creep horrible sounds…….. but! I was walking home one night and it was dark and this track came on, black blood vomitorium by necrophaga it was not music but a very slow and deep voice over this stupidly scary piano and other sound eefects that sounded as of some thing had bin dropped in the distance and the had even more reverb added to it to make it sound very scary and horror like the voice over did go well with the video and I got positive feed back from that saying that it suited the film very well.
All in all I think this project came out better that I hoped even thought I shortened it, I look better and more horror style with the big edit I did, in conclusion to my film I think it came out not bad the only thing that I could have done better was to spend more time on the blood effect but I didn’t want to dewle to much on that it the end I got it as best as I could with out spending to much time on it, even though I looks like blood from on of the mortal combat games
Another thing was to think thing trough more as in think about what people are wearing ie watches and not whit pumps and skinny fit jeans and ro gether into a proper costume.

u gest it i made a dvd cover for my film i decided to keep it simple as now"less is more"
an i put a few images from the film on the back just for a little tease.

at the end,when my credit comes in i found a website that let you create your own newpaper head lins so i added them in at the end with over the credit, just to add a bit of history to the film

the track that is play be hind the film is black blood vomitorimu, as was walking home one night this came on and as i was walking ithought to my self this is ******** scary and it gave me an idea , to put it behind that movie!!
alought it has kin of made it into a music video...not entierlie as this track proper reminds me of evil dead..with the slow voice and the high picted voice over it,it sound exreamly demonic and very horrorofic witch i thought suits the fil very well as it drives fear and terror into the veiwers spine, if you listen to the lyrics it will TRULY TERRORFIE YOU!

shortening my flm

after along consideration i am going to cut my film down just over 2 mins although i was pleased that film was long that i anisapted i need to cut it down so that i can get a more horror aspect,by doing this and shortening the film, this will leave the veiwe think "wha was that" they hoprful with think by the short clips that have bin show, of the mulitled bodys.
also shortening it will give a more sort "on edge" leaving them to think what is going on and to think what has happend but as th film goes on more and more becomes clear as the film goes on, more will reveled to the veiwer

i did them by using mr mucray in after effect and placing a blood red back ground on the murcuary effect and thrn changed the variouse propaty till ig to what sort of blood/exsplotion rigth with drirection and radiusoe alothough u doi have to say the 1st one from the side does look like some thing from pone of th mortal comabt games, but its my first attemt i tryed with the particals bu i cunt get my head round them and it wasnt what i wanted so i camr out with this, to be honist it i think it aint half bad

i have no shortednd my film alot to add alot more"wtf" factor
showing short clips will get the viewr asking them self "wtf was that"
so i cut it down quite a bit the only problem im finding is that now i have to shorten or compramise the edit of the music as will not fit but illl get me head round it and be able to pll it off.

i did this in 3 difffrent angle just to make it a bit more intersting
